The Safeguarding Sahelian Wetlands for Food Security (SAWEL) and The Feed the Future Innovation Laboratory for Small Scale Irrigation (ILSSI) projects are initiating a multi-stakeholder dialogue (MSD) to bring together various actors across the agricultural water management sector to promote inclusive and sustainable agriculture water management scaling (ISAWM). The first ‘kick start’ meeting will be organized by the International Water Management Institute.
Multi-stakeholder dialogues (MSD) target stakeholders across the sectors and areas to institutionalize inclusive and sustainable scaling based on research evidence. The MSD approach also develops capacity to build and enhance trust, while fostering a sustainable network across sectors. The multi-stakeholder and inter-sector dialogues accelerate the inclusive and sustainable ISAWM scaling, triggering system transformation in agricultural water management that will continue after the end of the projects.
